Now the very first step when performing a ritual is to make sure that one would first cleanse his own soul. Now this is done simply because in order for himself to be able to communicate with nature, he has to first make sure that he is clean himself. The different ways to do this would be to fast, to bathe, or to do any other method of cleansing.
Of course once the cleansing is already done, then he has to make sure that he clean the place wherein he will do his ritual. So he must remember that there would be no dirt or no clutter in the area. So in order to do this, he has to make sure that he would vacuum the area or sweep the area to make sure that there is no dirt.
Now after the physical cleaning has been done, then the next step would be to do a spiritual cleaning. Now what most people would do is that they would use a spiritual broom to take out all of the astral dust that can be found in the area. Astral clutter is said to be a disturbance to the ritual which is why the practitioner has to first make sure that he sweeps them all away before performing a ritual.
When that is already done, then the next thing to do would be to make the circle. The circle is very important because it is the circle that will be able to harness the energy that one will use in order to cast the spell. Of course he may make a circle made out of pretty much any material.
Once all the preparations are done, then the ritual can be done. Now rituals usually involve incantations as well as chants of certain spells. What these incantations do is that they will help the practitioner channel the energy into the spell in order to perform the spell.
Once the ritual has been finished already, then one has to make sure to close the circle. This is very important as it ensures that no excess energy would be released from the circle. One will do this by thanking the gods and the goddesses for their power in performing the spell.
