Yardmate Vinyl Sheds - The Sheds Of The Future!

By Kelly Peterson

One of the major shed manufacturers in the country is Duramax. The company makes a huge range of sheds for all manner of different purposes; it also manufactures a range of garages for housing everything from a Mini Cooper to half a dozen Ferraris.

Duramax sheds are all constructed out of vinyl, which means that once you have purchased your shed and set it up, maintenance is a thing of the past. Vinyl is not capable of rotting, as wood does, and it won't dent or rust like metal. Termites and other creatures cannot eat them, so you won't open your shed one morning and find a rat inside. There is no need to paint them every couple of years, or coat with a wood preservative. The vinyl will not fade, either. These vinyl sheds are so long-lasting that Duramax provide a 15 year guarantee.

The Yardmate vinyl shed is one of a range manufactured by Duramax especially for the smaller yard. The standard width is just five feet, but the model comes in different lengths. One of the advantages is that if you start small, but later find you need more storage space, Duramax make an extension kit for the Yardmate sheds.

The Yardmate vinyl sheds are all supplied in kit form, but two people can easily set the shed up in a couple of hours, just using some hand tools. At a pinch, you could do it single-handed, but it's just a little easier with two people.

These vinyl sheds are all five feet wide, but can be supplied in lengths of three, five, or eight feet. Since it is possible to buy the extension kits, you could, in theory, make the shed any length that you need - twenty feet if you wish. The shed comes fitted with double doors the full width, and you can have the double doors at both ends, as well. The side panels are reinforced with steel supports. These can be used for fixing shelves and a range of hooks for hanging bikes and tools on, which Duramax also supply.

The Yardmate vinyl shed also comes with a solid reinforced vinyl floor fitted as standard. This means that you don't need to have any foundations. The shed can just sit on top of grass, dirt, or concrete.

The wide double doors mean that it is very easy to get bikes and other large objects in and out of the shed. Furthermore, the doors are lockable, which means that you have no worries about thieves stealing your barbecue or garden tools. The Yardmate vinyl sheds also come with a roof light fitted as standard. If you are planning on using the shed as a workshop and need more light, you can also buy an additional window kit.

Probably the biggest advantage of Duramax Yardmate vinyl sheds is that they are totally maintenance free. Once you have erected your shed, that's it. No rotting or rusting, no painting or using preservative every couple of years. The vinyl will not fade, either, so your shed will always remain good looking. Duramax have also tested the roof of the shed to withstand 20lbs of snow per square foot, so even if you live in a state where the winters are harsh, your shed will put up with it. The Yardmate really is the toughest shed you can buy.
