Ingredients Which Go With Italian Olive Oil

Italian olive oil is a type of product that deserves to be consumed on its own, provided people have the taste for it. As healthy and tasty as this product is on its own, though, it should be noted that different spices can be brought into the fold as well. What are some of the reasons for this, you may wonder? If you would like to know, here are just a few examples that you'd be wise to bring into your regimen, making it that much better in the process.

One of the first potential ingredients to make note of, as far as Italian olive oil is concerned, would have to be pepper. Not only is this one of the simpler spices to bring to the table, but it's one that doesn't feature many calories, which makes it that much better. Along with incorporating a bit of unique taste, pepper comes with a healthy amount of manganese, which is required for the body to function properly. This is just one possible ingredient that can bolster your culinary endeavors.

Oregano may also be worth adding if you're looking to spice up your Italian olive oil. An ingredient like this is not uncommon in Italian cooking, whether it's a matter of pasta or what have you, meaning that some chefs may be more familiar with this than others. However, oregano users should know that vitamin K value will be at a high level, which is great to say the least. As a result, this lends itself to the overall effectiveness that oregano can have.

Garlic is another great option that anyone who's familiar with Italian cooking should know about. Not only does it have a strong taste to it, which goes without saying, but it is surprisingly healthy in a few respects. For one, it contains manganese, which is the nutrient that was covered earlier. However, garlic is rich in vitamin B6, which is all but vital in the sense of red blood cell production. With this in mind, your knowledge of additional spices will only grow stronger.

Keep in mind that these are just a few ingredients which can help your Italian olive oil. You will consume different foods for many reasons, one of the most important being the taste it possesses. Who is to say that these particular ingredients couldn't bring something a bit more unique to the table? As long as you are mindful of just how much of each is added, since the oil's natural taste shouldn't be entirely cloaked, you should be fine.
